Officers pulled over a car on July 20 for using powerful yellow headlights. The driver told officers the car was registered to his grandmother and he did not have his license with him. Officers attempted to run the name and date of birth the driver gave them through the system but the information that appeared did not match the driver.

TRIP PERMIT FORGERY: Officers were alerted to a man trying to make copies of a trip permit at Wal-Mart. A manager gave officers copies of a blank trip permit and an employee told officers the man left the copies of the trip permit behind after he left. Officers were able to confirm the identity of the man and forwarded the case to the Pierce County Prosecutor’s office.

ILLEGAL LIGHTS: Officers pulled over a car on July 20 for using powerful yellow headlights. Officers attempted to run the name and date of birth the driver gave them through the system but the information that appeared did not match the driver. Officers arrested the driver for obstruction, who then told officers his real name and date of birth, learning he had a felony warrant. The man was transported to Pierce County Jail and the car impounded.
