Nov. 7: Initial general election results are in, so here is currently ahead in the race for local city council and school board races.

As more votes get counted, this article will be updated; election results will be finalized on Nov. 28.

First off, the Enumclaw School District’s $103 million bond that would fund a new Byron Kibler Elementary School/Birth to Five early education center, and various system and security upgrades around the district, is failing 65% to 35%.

For the hotly-contested Enumclaw School District Board races, District Director No. 3 incumbent Tyson Gamblin is leading challenger Vivian Cadematori 52.5% to 47%, while Scott Mason, running for the Director No. 1 seat, is leading 66.6% to Jimmy Stewart’s 33%.

And finally, Ben Stouffer is leading Tonya Pettit 48.24% to 46.82% for the Director No. 4 seat.

For the Enumclaw City Council, Kerry Flothe is ahead of Michael Merker 53% to 46.5%.

Up north, Nathan Jones is comfortably ahead of Pravat Sripranaratanakul, 65.6% to about 33%.

Over down south in Buckley, Denice Bergerson is leading incumbent Lyn Rose for city council position No. 5, 53% to 43%.

Also, Connie Bender is ahead of Maureen Sundstrom, 51.75% to 48.25%.

Finally, White River School District Board Director No. 2 Karen Bunker is comfortably in the lead ahead of challenger Stacy Mahnke, with nearly 63% to 31%.
