Jason Silbaugh, the present Football Defensive Coordinator for Lakes High School, formally accepted the head coaching position for Bonney Lake High School on Wednesday.

Bonney Lake High School and the Sumner School District Athletic Department had previously announced Silbaugh as the recommended candidate for Head Football coach at Bonney Lake High School for the 2012 season.

Silbaugh was with Lakes as Defensive Coordinator for eight seasons.  He is an assistant track and field coach at Lakes High School, and he has previous coaching experience at the University of Puget Sound and Puyallup High School.

There were over twenty eight applicants for the head coach position.  Silbaugh was recommended by a hiring committee of parents, students, staff and administrators.
