Officers were on routine patrol when they a family reported a group of kids drinking at the skate park at Allan Yorke on May 23. Officers used binoculars to watch one kid pick up a beer can, start walking away and then return, setting the can down.

JUVENILES DRINKING: Officers were on routine patrol when they a family reported a group of kids drinking at the skate park at Allan Yorke on May 23. Officers used binoculars to watch one kid pick up a beer can, start walking away and then return, setting the can down. Officers approached the area and watched several kids walk away and made contact with the kid who help the beer can. He denied drinking the beer, which was still half-full. The kid volunteered for a breathalyzer test, blew a .51, was arrested and transported to his parent’s house. The kid was trespassed from the park.

STOLEN PRESCRIPTION: On May 18 officers responded to a theft from a retirement home. The reporting party, who works for the retirement home, notice medication missing from the dispensing carts nurses use. Pain killers for one resident was missing on May 9. The home drug tested each employee for signs of the medication but did not get a positive test. She was told to report the incident to the police, and the prescription that was taken was refilled.
