Kelly Lake Road between 210th Ave. and Church Lake Road near Lake Tapps will close July 28th while crews install new sanitary sewer infrastructure along Kelly Lake Road. This section of Kelly Lake Road is expected to reopen by mid-August.

Traffic traveling east on Church Lake Road will be detoured south on Kelly Lake Road, east on Sumner-Buckley Hwy, north on 214th Ave., and then west onto Kelly Lake Road. Traffic traveling west on Kelly Lake Road will be detoured north on 210th Ave., west on 82nd St., south on 206th Ave., west on 83rd St., south on 205th Ave., and then westbound on Church Lake Road. A detour map is available online. If severe weather impacts the work, the closure may be extended.

The closure is needed so the project contractor, Miles Resources, can excavate and install approximately 600 feet of new sanitary sewer main. After the road reopens, minor lane restrictions are expected until the project and new asphalt road surface is completed in late August.
