ORDER VIOLATED: Police were told at 1:59 a.m. Aug. 21 of a person who had violated a no-contact order by making 22 phone calls to the respondant. It appeared the caller was intoxicated. A report was taken.
GAS SIPHONED: A caller told police at 5:16 a.m. Aug. 21 someone had been spotted siphoning gasoline from a pickup parked on Garfield Street. The suspect departed on foot, headed toward Griffin Avenue. The suspect could not be located.
PIT BULL BITE: Police were advised the morning of Aug. 20 that a pit bull bit a woman at a Mountain Villa Drive address. King County Animal Control was notified and was responding to assist with the incident.
AID GIVEN: A 911 hang-up call the morning of Aug. 20 had an officer responding to a B Court address, where a woman had fallen and was in need of assistance.
LOITERING: Police were asked to provide extra patrol in the 1900 block of Lafromboise Avenue due to large numbers of people loitering in the area at all times of the day and night.
SYRINGE FOUND: Police responded the afternoon of Aug. 19 to a Griffin Avenue gas station after hearing a syringe had been found in the men’s room. The item was taken and destroyed.
NO PROBLEMS: At 11:18 p.m. Aug. 19, a citizen alerted police to a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence on Wells Street. It turned out to be the owner of the home, sitting in a vehicle and talking to a passenger. Less than 30 minutes later, a caller told police of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a vacant home on Harmony Lane. The caller said a male subject was seen entering the residence. Police confirmed it was the homeowner who had just returned from vacation.
ARREST WARRANT: An officer on patrol the morning of Aug. 16 spotted a suspect known to be wanted on a Buckley arrest warrant for failing to appear for a court date. The subject was taken into custody and held at the police station until a Buckley officer arrived.
AUTO NOT STOLEN: A resident contacted police the morning of Aug. 17, hoping to report a stolen vehicle. Police determined the reporting party had allowed the vehicle to be borrowed to no theft had occurred. The complainant was told the issue was a civil one, not a criminal one.
KIDS CAN’T SELL: Police were alerted Aug. 16 to children selling candy door-to-door without the necessary permit. They were to leave the area.
