–Councilmembers will proclaim April 7 National Service Recognition Day in King County

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

• An ordinance relating to a public health teen clinic lease to provide continuing public health services in the Seattle Area (Ordinance 2015-0059).

• An ordinance approving the execution of a lease renewal in the Jefferson Building, to support the operations and services of superior court (Substitute Ordinance 2015-0061.2).

• An ordinance approving the execution of a lease and first lease amendment for space in the Jefferson Building, to support the operations and services of the department of public defense (Substitute Ordinance 2015-0062.2).

 

Tuesday, April 7

Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

• A motion declaring that it is county policy to establish a paid parental leave program for King County employees and directing the executive to develop and transmit a work plan for implementing a paid parental leave program and a report on the costs and benefits of implementing and providing a paid parental leave program (Motion 2015-0102).

• A motion relating to public transportation; requiring a report on the potential for senior citizens and persons with disabilities to apply for regional reduced fare permits (Motion 2015-0123).

Briefing:

• A motion requesting the executive consider specific climate action activities and policies for inclusion into the 2015 King County Strategic Climate Action Plan (Motion 2015-0111).

Health, Housing and Human Services Committee – 1:30 p.m.
