At a special meeting of the Council, Councilmembers

  • Went to the Seattle Labor Temple to meet with representatives of the King County Labor community and the County Executive at the Council’s annual Labor Summit.

At today’s Council meeting, Councilmembers:

–Proclaimed June 15, 2014 Elder Abuse Awareness Day in King County.

–Recognized and congratulated the Seattle Preparatory School’s 2014 National High School Mock Trial Championship team.

  • Held in Council an ordinance adopting public transportation service reductions in September 2014, February 2015, June 2015 and September 2015 (Ordinance 2014-0169). NO ACTION WAS TAKEN ON THIS ORDINANCE.
  • Unanimously approved an ordinance authorizing an interlocal agreement with the city of Normandy Park to implement a regional program to transfer development rights from rural lands in King County to the city of Normandy Park (Substitute Ordinance 2014-0144.2).
