King County Council Nov. 4 meeting

Sent to the Council, with a “Do Pass” recommendation, a motion requiring that the King County Sheriff’s Office provide an annual report with data on the results of its internal review of complaints and investigation of employee misconduct (Motion 2013-0448).

 

 

At today’s meeting of the Council’s Committee of the Whole, Committee members:

  • Sent to the Council, with a “Do Pass” recommendation, a motion requiring that the King County Sheriff’s Office provide an annual report with data on the results of its internal review of complaints and investigation of employee misconduct (Motion 2013-0448).

 

At today’s Council meeting, Councilmembers:

  • Heard from the public on the on the proposed 2014 King County Budget (Ordinance 2013-0422). No action was taken on the ordinance, which remains in the Budget Committee.
  • Unanimously adopted the fee and levy ordinances that will help support the 2014 King County budget, including:

o   An ordinance relating to school impact fees (Ordinance 2013-0433).

o   An ordinance relating to the imposition of the excise tax on radio access lines in King County for the continued operations of an enhanced 911 emergency telephone system (Ordinance 2013-0432).

o   An ordinance repealing a processing fee for defendants requesting counsel at public expense (Ordinance 2013-0429).
