King County County Council Oct 13 meeting highlights

An ordinance authorizing an interagency agreement between King County and the city of Burien regarding design, construction, ownership, operation and maintenance of the portion of Segment B of the Lake to Sound trail that is within the city (Ordinance 2014-0365).

At today’s Committee of the Whole, committee members sent to the full Council for discussion and possible action:

  • An ordinance authorizing an interagency agreement between King County and the city of Burien regarding design, construction, ownership, operation and maintenance of the portion of Segment B of the Lake to Sound trail that is within the city (Ordinance 2014-0365).
  • An ordinance authorizing an interagency agreement between King County and the city of SeaTac regarding design, construction, ownership, operation and maintenance of the portion of Segment B of the Lake to Sound trail that is within the city (Ordinance 2014-0366).

Committee members also took public comment on:

  • An ordinance continuing a temporary use permit for homeless encampments (Ordinance 2014-0424).No action was taken on the ordinance, which remains in committee.

At today’s Council meeting, Councilmembers:

  • Unanimously approved a motion confirming the executive’s appointment of William Hayes as director of the department of adult and juvenile detention (Motion 2014-0354).
