Ashley Furniture HomeStore joined country music star Tim McGraw in showing their support to a local hero this past week as they helped furnish the new Bonney Lake-area home of veteran Adam Jennings and his family.

Jennings was donated the home through Operation Homefront and Chase’s ‘Homes on the Homefront’ campaign, a nationwide program that awards mortgage-free homes to service members and their families, in conjunction with McGraw’s ‘HomeFront’ program.  Ashley Furniture HomeStore provided the furniture to Operation Homefront to furnish the home.

Jennings is from the Seattle area, but served with his family as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, stationed out of Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, Calif.  During his deployment to Afghanistan in 2010, his right arm was crushed while working on a service vehicle, leaving serious nerve damage, and making everyday tasks difficult.

“These families sacrifice a lot in the service of our country,” said Amy Palmer, Chief Programs & Field Operations Officer for Operation Homefront.  “We’re proud to partner with Ashley Furniture to show America’s gratitude to these brave men and women, giving them a piece of the American dream with a home for them and their family.  The support of amazing partners like Ashley Furniture, who helped furnish the home, will help make this house a home for the Jennings family.”

“Operation Homefront does so much to help our military families, and we’re thrilled to join them in making the Jennings family at home in Bonney Lake,” said Gary Seals, CEO of Ashley Furniture HomeStore.  “We want to join Tim McGraw in letting them to know that we’re proud of them and thankful for their service.”
