Memorial service for former Victor Falls Elementary School teacher Amy Erwin planned for Saturday

A memorial service has been planned for Amy Erwin, the teacher killed in an alleged murder-suicide in Enumclaw, for 1 p.m. Saturday at Bonney Lake High School.

Amy Erwin, 42, was a third-grade teacher at Victor Falls Elementary. She was found dead May 27 and a handgun was recovered at the scene.

A memorial fund for the family has also been created through the Washington State Employee Credit Union. Donations will be accepted by mail or at any Washington State Employee Credit Union Office. Checks must be made out to: Crason and Tatum Erwin Memorial fund.

Plans are also under way to create a memorial garden at the school. The Parent Teacher organization is working with the school and district on the project. Those interested in donating should contact current PTO president Saunsu Henderson.
