The Lake Sawyer Christian Church’s “Operation Share” was a huge success for the Black Diamond Community Center’s Food Bank with 1,164 pounds of food collected Feb. 1.

Organizers of the event, led by Sandi Hooper, delivered boxes and boxes and more boxes of food to the Community Center.

“When we get this much food, we can feed everyone in our community that needs help.  And when we get all this food, we don’t have to buy very much, so we can leverage our food bank budget to purchase vouchers for dairy products for families with kids,” said Executive Director Cheryl Hanson.  The Lake Sawyer Christian Church is one of our best partners in their support with all programs.
