Pierce County PALS office closed Aug. 7 for furlough

Closure is the fifth in a series of nine one-day closures spread through the year due to budget constraints.

The Pierce County Planning and Land Services Department (PALS) will close its development center for the day on Friday, Aug. 7, due to an employee furlough.

The closure is the fifth in a series of nine one-day closures spread through the year due to budget constraints. The closures are timed around historically low customer volume days and holidays.

The Development Center is located in the Pierce County Annex, 2401 S. 35th St., Tacoma.

Other services in the Annex will be available on Friday, including those provided by the County Auditor and the County Assessor-Treasurer.
