The Plateau was shaken by a 3.7 magnitude earthquake over the weekend, following couple of smaller quakes.
The quake, recorded east of Greenwater near the ghost town Lester, was detected on Sunday, April 6, around 8:15 a.m., according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.
It was roughly 5.75 miles deep.
Two smaller quakes — one at a 1.3 magnitude and another at 1.2 — were reported at 11:04 a.m. and 5:04 p.m. on the same day.
This is the fourth time in about two months that an earthquake was recorded in this area; the first was a 3.0 magnitude quake on Feb. 18.
This 3.7 magnitude quake could have been felt in Renton and Federal Way to the west, and as far as Cle Elum over the Cascades.
Buckley experienced its own small quake on April 4, coming in at a magnitude of 1.8 at 10.6 miles deep. A shake map for this quake was not made available by the PNSN.
Enumclaw also got a magnitude 1.0 quake on March 29.
If you felt any of these quakes, you can report it with the United States Geological Survey at earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/uw62076406/dyfi/intensity.
