These days it may just be the cowboys and haystacks sitting in the window, as much as the diamonds, that attract customers to Tom Poe's jewelry store in downtown Enumclaw.
The Cole Street business won the $200 grand prize in this year's King County Fair's 2005 Best Window Decoration Contest for best capturing the spirit of this year's fair theme, "Good Clean Fun."
The fair opens today, Wednesday, and runs through Sunday at the King County Fairgrounds.
Continuing a fair tradition, many Enumclaw area businesses decorated their shops to coordinate with the Fair theme.
Other notable winners for best decorated windows were (in order) The Scrapbook Corner, Young's Flowers and Gifts and The Village Shoppe. Judge's special recognition went to the Enumclaw Area Chamber of Commerce.
