Enumclaw

THREATS MADE

• Police were told the morning of Dec. 6 that a citizen had received threats over the phone. Police detailed options and suggested contacting the court for a no-contact order. It was discovered the suspect is the subject of two outstanding arrest warrants, one issued in Enumclaw for failure to appear on a charge of driving with a suspended license and one issued in Tacoma for failure to appear on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect could not be immediately located.

RUNAWAY

• A local mother contacted police the afternoon of Dec. 6, telling of her 14-year-old daughter who had been missing for three days. An officer was able to locate the girl and return her to her home.

SUSPICIOUS

• A patrolling officer noticed a suspicious vehicle parked on Pioneer Street at 1:06 a.m. Dec. 5. The occupant was taken into custody, booked for being a minor in possession of alcohol and released. A second subject was to be mailed a criminal citation for furnishing alcohol to a minor. The vehicle was impounded.

ARREST WARRANTS

• Officers made contact at 1:51 a.m. Dec. 5 with a suspicious subject at a Battersby Avenue location. It was determined the subject had two outstanding arrest warrants issued in Buckley, one for failure to appear on theft charges and another for failure to appear on a charge of driving with a suspended license. The subject was taken into custody and later turned over to a Buckley officer.

CAR PROWL

• Police were told a car prowl occurred at 1:07 p.m. Dec. 5 on Osceola Street. A window was broken and a purse taken.

• A Pioneer Street victim told police a wallet, key, identification, iPod, approximately $200 in cash and various paperwork was taken from a vehicle parked at a friend’s home Dec. 6. The wallet was found the same day on Griffin Avenue and returned to the owner.

DRUG CHARGES

• Three male juveniles were taken into custody on drug charges just after 4 p.m. Dec. 5. They were booked into jail and later released to parents.

STOLEN GUN

• Someone delivered a firearm in a bag to the police station Dec. 9. An investigation revealed the weapon was reported stolen. The firearm was placed into safekeeping and initial attempts to contact an owner failed.

ATTEMPTED THEFT

• A Watson Street resident told police Dec. 9 someone had attempted to steal a motorized scooter and damaged it in the process. A report was taken.

PARKING OK

• A Loraine Street resident told police Dec. 9 someone had placed a homemade “no parking” sign in the street in front of a neighboring residence. An officer removed the sign from the public roadway.

ASSAULT

• An officer responded at 4:15 a.m. Dec. 9 to a Roosevelt Avenue address to contact the victim of an assault. Information was taken and the victim was advised to call back when he was no longer intoxicated and after receiving treatment at Enumclaw Regional Hospital. Once at the hospital the man became belligerent; the problem was resolved after police arrived.

SEX OFFENSE

• An Enumclaw officer responded shortly after midnight Dec. 8 to a Battersby Avenue location after learning of a possible sexual offense. It was determined that the alleged incident was not in Enumclaw’s jurisdiction; Bonney Lake authorities were notified and responded.

INTOXICATED

• Police were alerted at 7:30 a.m. Dec 8 to a possible drunk driver in the vicinity of state Route 410 and Semanski Street. An officer responded, located the suspect vehicle and arrested the driver for being under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle was towed and impounded.

THEFT INTERRUPTED

• A Porter Street resident discovered a man attempting to take her vehicle at 10 a.m. Dec. 8. An officer responded and located the suspect, who was taken to the police station and booked.

DOG TROUBLE

• A Griffin Avenue resident complained Dec. 8 of a barking dog at a neighboring residence. An officer responded and talked to the dog owner, who agreed to attempt to keep the animal quiet. The owner acknowledged previous contact with King County Animal Control.

FRAUD

• A citizen arrived at the police station the afternoon of Dec. 7, reporting a bank account had been fraudulently accessed.

BURGLARY

• Police were told Dec. 7 of a burglary that occurred three days earlier at a Porter Street location. The investigation was delayed because the area had been cleaned and the person who had first arrived on the scene was not immediately available.

THEFT FROM AUTO

• A patron of the Enumclaw Pubic Library was the victim of a vehicle prowl the afternoon of Dec. 7.

Buckley

POSSESSION

• At 2:29 a.m. Dec. 12, an officer stopped a vehicle at the intersection of state Route 410 and Jefferson Avenue. The officer determined the male driver was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The male was placed in custody at the scene. Two additional subjects on the scene were minors exhibiting the effects of having consumed liquor.

DUI

• At 11:32 p.m. Dec. 11, an officer stopped a speeding vehicle. After a short investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and booked into jail on that charge.

AGENCY ASSIST/FIGHT

• At 1:25 a.m. Dec. 12, an officer was dispatched to 1324 Roosevelt Ave. to assist Enumclaw police. An officer was informed Enumclaw authorities were busy and twanted the officer to check the area for numerous fights and altercations. Several subjects were standing outside a building and the reporting person stated the problem had been resolved and the parties involved had left the area.

INJURY ACCIDENT

• At 7:47 p.m. Dec 11, an officer was dispatched to the area of SR 410 and Park Avenue regarding a blocking collision involving two cars with possible injuries. Medical aid also arrived and treated one of the drivers. The driver being treated complained of pain and was transported to a nearby hospital.

AGENCY ASSIST

• At 10:39 p.m. Dec. 8, an officer was dispatched on an agency assist to 120 Washington Avenue in Orting. The officer searched for a handgun that was used in an assault. The officer located the handgun and turned it over to the local agency.
