LATE NIGHT REVVING

• At approximately midnight Saturday officers responded to a noise complaint coming from a resident on the corner of LaFromboise Street and Roosevelt Avenue regarding his neighbor constantly revving up the engine of his car. By the time police arrived the complainant had already confronted the subject and the twosome were in the midst of a verbal altercation. Cooler heads prevailed and a battle was averted.

TROUBLE

• Complaints of three individuals lighting off fireworks at a Kibler Avenue location brought police to the scene Saturday a bit before 8 p.m. One of the subjects was released at the scene, another one was taken to his home, while yet another suspect was transported to the police station for processing. The fireworks, which included a sparkler bomb, were confiscated and destroyed by Washington State Patrol bomb technicians.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

• A suspect was pulled over at the intersection of Griffin Avenue and Cole Street on Christmas Eve at about 2 a.m. When the officer made contact with the driver, the driver was instructed to get out of the vehicle. The officer reported the driver couldn’t maintain his balance or stand by himself. The individual refused to take standard field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, the driver had his car towed and impounded.

GET BACK HERE

• At 12:45 a.m. Saturday officers were dispatched to 29285 state Route 410 whereupon arriving, they observed a fight had broken out. In the midst of bringing the skirmish under control, a 25-year-old Buckley man fled from a couple of policemen, but was caught and detained. He was then taken into custody and booked into the Buckley jail for disorderly conduct and obstructing a public servant.
