FALSE STATEMENTS

• On Dec. 14 at 10:16 p.m., police observed a truck traveling in the 18300 block of state Route 410 with an obscured license plate. Upon conducting a traffic stop, the driver said he did not have paperwork for the vehicle and did not have identification. He gave a false identity, which was later determined. He had two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest and his license was suspended. His two female passengers had outstanding misdemeanor warrants for their arrest. The man was taken to Pierce County Jail and booked for escape community custody forgery, with no bail. The women were transferred to the custody of Auburn police.

WARRANT

• On Dec. 10 at 5:38 p.m. a vehicle was spotted by police in the 9700 block of 208th Avenue East. A records’ check revealed the driver’s license was suspended and he had a warrant from Auburn Police Department for possession of marijuana. The man was released to Auburn police and issued a criminal citation for driving while license suspended and for having no insurance.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

• On Dec. 11 at 8:08 p.m., police were dispatched to New Peking Restaurant and Lounge for a report of an incident in which security and patrons were holding a male subject on the ground, waiting for police to arrive. As police picked up the man and placed him in handcuffs, he was yelling and taunting patrons. He smelled of liquor, slurred his speech and had difficulty maintaining his balance. Police were told by one of the men holding him down, he was asked to leave inside because he was being rude. When he was outside, he began being belligerent and allegedly threw punches at one of the men. When read his rights, the man used profanity toward police and continued to verbally berate while on the way to the Buckley jail.

MARIJUANA

• On Dec. 11 police made a traffic stop at 8:41 a.m., and while speaking with the female driver, police smelled marijuana. A K-9 unit was brought to investigate the scent and when the dog located the marijuana in a purse, the woman admitted it was hers. She asked police if she was going to get the marijuana back and she was told it would be booked as evidence.

VIOLATION OF ORDER

• On Dec. 11 police responded to a report of a woman violating an anti-harassment order by contacting her ex-husband via telephone. The reporting party provided evidence of ongoing violation of the order.
