NO FIGHT: Police took a report at 1:40 a.m. Dec. 19 from someone concerned about a large group gathering in the parking lot at a Roosevelt Avenue address, talking very loud and sounding like they were about to fight. The group has dispersed as the officer arrived.

DINE AND DASH: Police were called the afternoon of Dec. 18 to a Griffin Avenue address where subjects had departed without paying for their meal. When confronted, a credit card was given, which was declined by the card company. Prior to the officer’s arrival, the bill was paid with cash.

COURT ORDER: An officer on patrol Dec. 18 spotted two people  in a verbal confrontation in the vicinity of Porter Street and Griffin Avenue. It was determined one subject was in violation of a court order; he was arrested and taken to the station for booking. The second individual was released at the scene.

PEDESTRIAN HIT: Police responded at 5:24 a.m. Dec. 17 to the intersection of Griffin Avenue and Wells Street, where a pedestrian had reportedly been struck by a vehicle.

TREE DOWN: An officer responded at 6:30 a.m. Dec. 17 to an area near Greenwater on state Route 410, where a tree had fallen across the highway. Upon arrival, it was discovered motorists with chainsaws had cleared the road. Crews from the state Department of Transportation also responded.

TWO ALLEGATIONS: Police were told Dec. 17 about the theft of items from a home by an ex-girlfriend. The reporting party also wished to report an assault that occurred earlier. An officer responded and found there had been no theft.
