UNDER THE INFLUENCE: At 1:29 a.m. April 15, an officer stopped a driver for erratic lane travel and following too closely behind another vehicle. The driver was found to have red eyes and slow speech. After performing some tests, he was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

ASSAULT ALLEGED: An officer was dispatched April 13 to Rainier School after a client alleged a staff member used an illegal hold on him, which constituted an assault. A report was completed and forwarded to the city prosecutor for review.

CITY PROPERTY STOLEN: An officer was dispatched at 1:45 p.m. April 13 to a Hatch Street address after several subjects were seen entering city-owned property. The officer spotted four subjects, including one dressed in orange pants and coat, and soon confronted the orange-clad man exiting the woods along state Route 410. After it was determined some of the property in the man’s possession belonged to the city, the suspect was cited for both theft and criminal trespass and booked  into the Fife jail.

DOMESTIC SITUATION: Police responded at 8 p.m. April 11 to a Church Street address in Wilkeson following a report of a possible domestic disturbance. After investigation, it was determined the case would be forwarded to the Wilkeson prosecutor for possible charges of fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief.

CASH, CARD TAKEN: An Orting man reported April 11 that someone had broken into a locker, which was locked, and stolen a bank card and cash. The case for forwarded to an investigator for follow-up.

ARREST WARRANT: A Buckley officer traveled to the Enumclaw police department shortly after midnight April 10 to meet with a King County deputy who had detained a man wanted on a Buckley arrest warrant. The Buckley officer took custody of the subject, who was then booked into the Enumclaw jail without incident.

ONE ARRESTED: A city man called police the morning of April 10, advising of two subjects who appeared to be trespassing and  taking metal. An officer contacted the pair and determined they were trespassing, but nothing had been taken. They were advised to stay away from the property. It was found that one of the men, a 39-year-old from Buckley, had two warrants out for his arrest; he was taken into custody and later booked into the Enumclaw jail without incident.
