On June 5 officers were dispatched to a road rage incident between a car and a motorcycle on SR 410. Officers contacted the male driver of the car first, who said the male motorcyclist was swerving in traffic and passing other cars at a high rate of speed until the motorcycle eventually cut him off.

Officers contacted the male driver of the car first, who said the male motorcyclist was swerving in traffic and passing other cars at a high rate of speed until the motorcycle eventually cut him off. The driver said he tailgated the motorcycle but didn’t come close to hitting it. The driver then said the motorcyclist became belligerent and yelled at him. The driver said he tried to slow down and get away from the motorcyclist but the motorcyclist would ride next to the car and continue to yell. While the motorcyclist told officers he did pass the driver, he denied driving unsafely and said it was the driver who escalated the situation. Cellphone footage from the driver’s son corroborated his father’s story and the motorcyclist was cited for reckless driving and provoking assault.

GARAGE SALE THEFT: Officers were dispatched to a theft from a garage sale on June 5. A neighbor witnessed the theft and got a license plate number on the car that drove off with a stolen air conditioner. Officers ran the plate number for information about the owner and the case was forwarded.
