Rock blasting to close I-90 east of Snoqualmie Pass three days

Drivers should plan for added travel time due to lane closures through multiple construction areas.

The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews will close I-90 for rock blasting at 7 p.m. for about an hour Monday, Aug. 31 through Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Eastbound traffic will be stopped at Gold Creek (milepost 56) and westbound traffic will be stopped at Price Creek (milepost 61). Drivers will also experience minor delays during the day due to rolling slowdowns and nighttime lane closures in both directions through the same area.

Drivers should plan for added travel time due to construction-related lane closures and delays between mileposts 59, just east of Snoqualmie Pass to milepost 70, near the Easton vicinity.

Drivers will also see delays across the Vantage Bridge due to a single lane eastbound closure, which is in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until this fall.

Drivers are encouraged to use the following tools to plan their trips over I-90 this summer:
