Science on Wheels tomorrow, and other upcoming Bonney Lake events

The city of Bonney Lake’s summer event series continues this week with more from the Kids Club and Tunes at Tapps.

Monday brings the Pacific Science Center’s “Science on Wheels” to the Kids Club for a 6:30 p.m. program at Allan Yorke Park. Then, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday Cap’n Arr returns to the kids club.

On Wednesday night, Ian Dobson will treat listeners to the sounds of the Caribbean with a steel drum performance as part of the Tunes at Tapps series. Dobson will begin at 6:30 p.m.

There’s even more to do the following week, with National Night Out and Friday Night Flix join the schedule.

At 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6, the Gothard Sisters, an Irish sister group will sing, dance and fiddle their way through their second appearance at the Kids Club. At 11 a.m. Aug. 7 children’s musician Eric Herman takes the stage.

Then, the city is hosting National Night Out celebrations beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Sky Island Park and continuing at 6:45 at Lake Debra Jane Park.

The BGP, seen on last year’s NBC show “America’s Got Talent,” are the scheduled performers for the Aug. 8 Tunes at Tapps.

Finally, the year’s first Friday Night Flix is set to play at dusk on Aug. 10. This year, the city’s first feature is “Despicable Me.” Friday Night Flix are sponsored by Freed INsurance Group.
