Shoplifting at SR 410 grocers | Bonney Lake Police Blotter

Officers responded to a SR 410 grocery store to the report of a shoplifter. When officers arrived, the subject was being detained by an off duty King County Sheriff’s deputy.

All subjects in the police blotter are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

September 4

Domestic Assault: Officers responded to the report of a domestic disturbance between a brother and sister. The reporting party told officers that her older brother assaulted her and she kicked him out because she was concerned for her safety as well as her children and younger sister. When officers arrived they spoke with her and tried to locate her brother. Officers located him and brought him back to the house. After speaking with him, officers arrested him for fourth degree assault and domestic violence. A no-contact order would also be issued. Officers transported him to the Enumclaw jail where he was booked.

September 3

Shoplifting: Officers responded to a SR 410 grocery store to the report of a shoplifter. When officers arrived, the subject was being detained by an off duty King County Sheriff’s deputy. The deputy had seen the subject outside of the store with a basket of food which the subject told the off duty deputy that he did not pay for. He is trespassed from all of these groceries stores in the state for a year. He was also cited for theft and released from the scene.

Fraud: Officers spoke with the reporting party by phone regarding an online payday loan she applied for. She told officers that she spoke with three different employees at this company and each had her load a pre-paid card with various amounts of money, totaling $434. This report has been filed and no further action has been taken.

September 2

Suspicious Activity: Officers responded to a residence around 11 p.m. to the report of someone looking in through a window. The reporting party told officers he thought he knew who the subject was and that his girlfriend has a protection order against him. He also told officers he tried to chase down the subject with help from someone else but they were unable to catch up to him. Officers, with the help of a Pierce County deputy, spoke with the subject at his home and concluded that he had been home all evening and was not the person who was looking in through the living room. At the time of this report, there was nothing further.
