Officers were called on Dec. 10 by the owner of a business that buys used trailer batteries. A few days prior, a suspect was identified selling stolen batteries to the business, and the store owner called police when the suspect entered the store.

STOLEN BATTERIES, PART II: Officers were called on Dec. 10 by the owner of a business that buys used trailer batteries. A few days prior, a suspect was identified selling stolen batteries to the business, and the store owner called police when the suspect entered the store. After the suspect was arrested, he admitted to stealing batteries and selling them. He was cited for theft and booked at Puyallup Jail.

SUMNER FIGHT: Officers were called to assist by the Sumner Police Department after a fight broke out on Dec. 13. Dispatch advised one of the involved parties left the scene and stuck another party with a car. Officers found the car as Sumner PD found the suspect’s identity. Officers detained the driver and noticed a smell of intoxicants as well as fresh blood on the driver’s nose and a swollen eye. Officers also discovered a small dent and smear mark on the left fender of the car. The detained suspect told officers his brother had punched his truck several times. The suspect was arrested for vehicular assault.
