Officers observed a car driving at a high rate of speed on June 30. After officers stopped the car, dispatch advised the car was reported as stolen out of Nevada. A record check also showed the driver had a suspended license and a warrant.

Stolen vehicle recovered: Officers observed a car driving at a high rate of speed on June 30. After officers stopped the car, dispatch advised the car was reported as stolen out of Nevada. A record check also showed the driver had a suspended license and a warrant. Officers handcuffed the driver and told her the car was stolen, which surprised the driver, who said they had permission to take the car out of Nevada by her spouse. Officers then approached the passenger in the car, who told officers the driver just married their spouse and took the car. The passenger was also found to have a warrant, and officers detained them and the driver. Officers contacted the father of the spouse in Nevada, who told officers the driver took the car over a month ago with no permission.

Debit card fraud: On June 30, officers met with the reporting party in the department lobby. The reporting party told officers that while she was making a purchase at a local business, they learned their bank account was overdrawn. Knowing this was incorrect, they checked their bank statement and found several large fraudulent charges. They also found several pending fraudulent charges that had yet to be processed. They then closed their account and contacted the police.
