At the Dec. 7 meeting of the Sumner City Council Earle Stuard was appointed to the city’s planning commission. The council unanimously confirmed the appointment.

Stuard is retired from the city of Bellevue with a background is in municipal finance.

Sumner’s planning commission elected Jon Swanson to a fourth year as chair and Kathy Hayden as vice chair to serve in 2010.
