SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: An officer was dispatched to a family medical walk-in clinic on June 8 for a suspicious persons report. The staff said the male subject arrived at the clinic covered in what appeared to be dried blood and he seemed to be very intoxicated. The staff said the male subject was making claims that he had hurt someone in a nearby park. When police questioned him, he said he had befriended someone who he had been riding an off-road vehicle with in a wooded area a couple of days ago. He said they had been drinking beers, when the person he had befriended attacked him with a two by four piece of wood. He said he had been stuck at least 15 times on the side of the head but was able to get free from the attacker and went home. He was afraid the person would follow him home, so he hid in his bedroom closet for three days. Police noticed that he seemed to be intoxicated, but did not smell strongly of alcohol. His eyes were also very glassy and bloodshot red. The subject also had a hard time keeping his story on track that he was telling. There was bruising on his right shoulder and right torso, which was dark blue and brown, suggesting they occurred several days ago. Police asked him if he wanted them to further investigate the assault, but the subject said no.
