Metropolitan King County Council – 11:00 a.m. ***Special Meeting Time***

At 11:00 a.m., Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

· A motion adopting the 2012 King County Strategic Climate Action Plan (Substitute Motion 2012-0248.2).

At 1:30 p.m., Councilmembers will hear public testimony on:

The four pieces of legislation that are part of the proposed Eastside Rail Corridor (ECR) agreement:

· An ordinance approving and authorizing the County Executive to acquire portions of the ERC from the Port of Seattle (Ordinance 2012-0353),

· An ordinance approving and authorizing the County Executive to enter into a reciprocal coordination and cooperation agreement with Puget Sound Energy (Ordinance 2012-0354),

· An ordinance approving and authorizing the County Executive to enter into an intergovernmental land transfer agreement with the city of Redmond (Ordinance 2012-0382),

· A motion establishing the Eastside Rail Corridor as a corridor of regional significance and establishing the Eastside Rail Corridor regional advisory council to initiate a regional planning process (Motion 2012-0452).

NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN ON THE LEGISLATION

Council members are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

· An ordinance relating to comprehensive planning and permitting (Ordinance 2012-0103). The discussion and possible action on the comprehensive plan will occur after 1:30 p.m.

Government Accountability, Oversight and Financial Performance Committee – 9:30 a.m. ***SPECIAL MEETING***

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

Motions regarding 4Culture—King County’s cultural service agency:

· Acknowledging receipt of a report regarding outreach to unincorporated areas and cities not served by a city arts commission (Motion 2012-0355).

· Acknowledging receipt of a report regarding workshops conducted by 4Culture held outside of Seattle (Motion 2012-0356).

· Acknowledging receipt of a letter certifying that 4Culture has displayed on its website its total expenditures of hotel-motel revenue in each council district for 2008-2011 (Motion 2012-0357).

Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 1:30 p.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

· An ordinance approving a new multiple use lease on Vashon Island for Sheriff’s Office, District Court, the Department of Permitting and Environmental Review and Records and Licensing Division (Ordinance 2012-0448).

· An ordinance approving the sale of four surplus resident parcels located in Districts Five and Nine (Ordinance 2012-0372).

· An ordinance relating to the annual reconciliation of capital funds and projects (Ordinance 2012-0457).

· An ordinance authorizing the County Executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the city of Pacific relating to the provision of temporary services (Ordinance 2012-0473).

LAND USE APPEAL—Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possible act on:

· An ordinance concurring with the decision of the hearing examiner to approve, subject to conditions, the preliminary plat of Tall Chief Country Club (Substitute Ordinance 2011-0404.2).
