NARCOTICS THEFT: Police took a report March 27 concerning an alleged theft of narcotics from a Jensen Street facility. Information was given regarding a possible suspect. A “trespass letter” was to be served the next time the suspect visits the facility.

ADULT TRICYCLE: A Mountain Villa Drive resident reported March 27 that an “adult tricycle” had been stolen the previous evening. The 26-inch Schwinn was valued at $650.

LIQUOR THEFT: At 1:36 p.m. March 27 staff at a Monroe Avenue business reported four bottles of alcohol were taken during a shoplifting incident.

VEHICLE PROWL: Police were told the afternoon of March 27 of a purse stolen from a vehicle at a Semanski Street address. Entry to the vehicle was gained through a previously-broken window.

SALES TROUBLES: Police were told the afternoon of March 26 of solicitors in the vicinity of Gossard Street. When the reporting party approached the salespeople and advised them of regulations concerning sales, the solicitors became belligerent. About 10 minutes later, a Link Avenue resident called police about the same sales group. They were contacted and all agreed to leave the area.

GAS THEFT: A Warner Avenue resident arrived home shortly after midnight March 26 and spotted a gas can next to his mother’s car with a host coming from the gas tank. A pickup that might be associated with the incident was identified.

VANDALISM: Police responded the morning of March 26 to a Garrett Street building where a rear window had been broken and a section of fence missing. The damage was estimated at $400. The building owner requested additional police patrol, based on a belief the damage was done as a type of retaliation.

SUSPECT CHASED: Police were contacted at 8:19 p.m. March 25 by someone who was chasing suspects who had just stolen items from his vehicle. The reporting party recovered stolen items that had been thrown into the victim’s yard. The suspects had fled the area and could not be found.

BUILDINGS TAGGED: Night staff interrupted subjects “tagging” a Semanski Street building. Damage was done to several buildings and was estimated at $500.

WEED WORRY: A citizen arrived in the police station lobby the afternoon of March 25, looking for options when dealing with his grandson’s marijuana use. An officer provided options and was to contact the grandson that night.

AUTO TOWED: A vehicle was taken from a city parking lot March 24 without the owner’s permission. An employee of the two company said a man claiming to be the owner declared the auto was junk and wanted it towed away. The situation was being investigated.

DISORDERLY: An officer was summoned at 2:39 a.m. March 23 to the booking area at the police station to help a jailer restrain a subject hwo had been taken into custody.

AGGRESSIVE DOG: Police took a report the morning of March 22 regarding an aggressive dog at a Harding Street address. Police confirmed the dog was aggressive but were unable to locate the animal’s owner. King County Animal Control responded but could not locate the dog. Police received an additional complaint about the dog and were able to secure the animal in its yard.  Animal Control posted a  notice of violation and a fine. The dog’s owner was given two weeks to get the animal licensed and the fence repaired.

TWO DOGS: Police received a second call the morning of March 22, this time about two rottweilers at a Griffin Avenue location that were being aggressive toward people walking by. King County Animal Control responded and contacted the dog’s owners, who were visiting from out of state; they agreed to keep the dogs secured until they departed the following day.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: Officers responded at 5:19 p.m. March 22 to a report of a domestic assault at a Weber Street address. A suspect was located and arrested for fourth-degree assault and being a minor in possession.

STOLEN PROPERTY: An officer responded at 10:18 p.m. March 22 to a Kibler Avenue address to check on possible stolen property that had been left there. It was determined items at the scene had been stolen during vehicle prowls in Enumclaw. The property was recovered and taken to the station.

AGENCY ASSIST: City police assisted county authorities at 11:24 p.m. March 22 who had detained a bicyclist in possession of burglary tools. The suspect was identified as a possible match to a description given following recent burglaries in the area. Information was forwarded to county detectives for follow-up. The suspect was stopped at Southeast 448th Street and 244th Avenue Southeast.
