He was cited for DWLS, expired tabs over two months, switched or altered tabs and no proof of insurance.

SUSPENDED: Officers on routine patrol Feb. 19 observed a vehicle traveling west on state Route 410 make a left turn across the cross-hatched center divider lane and into an entrance to the Fred Meyer parking lot designed for entrance from the eastbound direction. Upon contact, the driver identified himself with a punched license and said he did not have a license because it was suspended. He said he made the turn because he was lazy. The driver also had two warrants for his arrest issued by Fife, one for marijuana possession and one for animal violations. He was cited for driving with a suspended license and for crossing a cross hatch divider. He was transported to the Puyallup jail and transferred to the Fife Police Department.

Store security witnessed a female suspect concealing items in a trash can, removing tags and switching the label on the trash can. Security also advised of a “look out” in the parking lot. After store security took the suspect into custody, the vehicle was seen pulling away. The officer located the vehicle leaving the lot and conducted a traffic stop. The driver appeared nervous and when asked why he left his passenger at the store he said he was going for cigarettes. The subject became belligerent after he was told his passenger was detained on suspicion of theft and could not provide a license, but admitted it was suspended. He was advised he was under arrest and police asked him to exit the vehicle three times and he did not comply. When the officer ordered him out of the car, he yelled rapidly exited the vehicle, swearing and taking an aggressive stance. Officers ordered him to turn around and he continued to resist. The officer noted a “crazed look in his eyes” and that he appeared as if he was going to fight. Both officers on the scene deployed their Tasers as they attempted to get the suspect to place his hands behind his back. As the officers struggled to handcuff the suspect he continued to fight. Once the cuffs were on, he continued to kick at officers while they tried to search him. Inside, the total of the items the suspect attempted to leave the store with totaled $1,112. She admitted to trying to steal the items and also identified the vehicle and first name of the driver.
