A mass of cold, unstable air with high winds is moving into the region and has the potential for supporting the formation of rotating thuderstorms that may produce cold-air funnel clouds, small hail and wind gusts of up to 45 mph.

Chance of precipitation today is 90 percent, dropping to 70 percent overnight.

Both Pierce County and the National Weather Service are continuing to monitor the situation.
