Tonight is Leroy Goff’s last meeting as Sumner city councilman, Dumas’ first as councilwoman

Tonight is Sumner City Councilman Leroy Goff's last meeting as a member of the valley city's municipal legislature. Goff retires with 26 years of public servitude under his belt.

Tonight is Sumner City Councilman Leroy Goff’s last meeting as a member of the valley city’s municipal legislature. Goff retires with 26 years of public servitude under his belt.

It will also be the first regular meeting that sees Nancy Dumas in Council Position 4. Dumas replaces appointee Jon Swanson following the outcome of the November election.

On the docket tonight are two pieces of unfinished business up for council vote. The first is the planning commission appointment of Swanson, effectively creating a position swap-out of himself with Dumas.

The second is a resolution ratifying amendments the amendments to Countywide Planning Policies as they pertain to Candidate Regional Centers and amendments for consistency to VISION 2040, a plan for accommodating regional growth in the Puget Sound region.
