DRUNK DRIVER: Police were dispatched the afternoon of May 14 to watch for a recklessly-driven vehicle that was said to be swerving and crossing over center lines. The description of the vehicle matched that given in another report of a possible DUI case. Police located the suspect vehicle and the motorist was taken into custody and booked for driving under the influence.
DISTURBANCE: Police responded at 12:39 a.m. May 13 to a reported domestic dispute at a Cedar Drive address. After contacting both parties, police arrested a man for fourth-degree assault. He was taken to the station for booking.
SHOTS HEARD: Police received a call shortly before 6 p.m. May 13 regarding multiple shots heard in the vicinity of Warner Avenue and state Route 410. Officers responded to the area and heard nothing; a nearby resident advised duck hunters sometimes shoot in the area further south of Warner Avenue.
OUT OF CONTROL: An out-of-control juvenile had police responding at 10 p.m. May 13 to a Harmony Lane address. Officers counseled the involved parties.
MINOR IN POSSESSION: Police responded to a noise complaint at 11:15 p.m. May 13 at a Battersby Avenue address. A male was cited and released for being a minor in possession.
ARREST WARRANT: Police responded to a city park the afternoon of May 12 following a report of a disturbance. It was found to be verbal only, but the woman involved was wanted on a warrant issued by Black Diamond. She was arrested and booked on the warrant.
OUT-OF-STATE: A traffic stop shortly before midnight May 12 turned up both a driver and passenger who were wanted on out-of-state felony warrants. Both were booked into local jail and then taken to the King County jail, awaiting extradition.
INTO CREEK: Police responded to the Enumclaw Golf Course May 11 following a report that an intoxicated man had driven a golf cart into the creek. Contact was made and the man was arrested and booked for driving under the influence.
FIVE VICTIMS: Police took a call May 10 of malicious mischief to a stand of mailboxes on Wallace Avenue. An officer determined a vehicle had left the roadway, striking a post and five attached mailboxes.
SCAM FAILS: A Phillips Avenue mad told police May 10 he was nearly victimized by an Internet scam. He had been advised by a “moneygram” service that someone attempted to use his account, but the transaction was declined.
DISTURBANCE: Officers responded at 6 p.m. May 10 to a Roosevelt Avenue address and a report of a man yelling obscenities and threatening customers. The subject denied yelling at anyone and moved on. Officers quickly observed disorderly conduct and the man was arrested and booked into jail.
LEAVING TOWN: Police were told at 1 a.m. May 10 of a subject walking in and out of traffic on Roosevelt Avenue. An officer talked to the man, who stated he was leaving town.
TRESPASS LETTER: Police received a request at 3:48 a.m. May 8 that a person be trespassed from the store. The letter was issued and the subject moved on.
CAR PROWLS: A Stevenson Avenue resident told police May 8 a car prowl had occurred during the previous weekend. The owner simply wanted police to be aware and was not intending to assist with prosecution. On May 9, a vehicle was prowled while parked in a lot near Battersby Avenue and Porter Street. A phone charger was taken.
LICENSE SUSPENDED: An on-duty officer spotted someone with a suspended license driving in front of the police station. The vehicle was stopped and the motorist was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
TOO LOUD: Police took an anonymous complaint the afternoon of May 8 about barking dogs at a Natalie Place address. Police responded and found a resident operating a dog-sitting business from her home. She was advised of the complaint and agreed to move the animals inside.
