Unresponsive passenger transported to hospital during DUI arrest | BUCKLEY POLICE BLOTTER, DEC. 27-JAN. 2

VEHICLE COLLISION: On Dec. 27, time unknown, an officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Main Street to handle a two-car motor vehicle collision. Neither driver reported injuries. The driver found to be at fault was issued a notice of infraction for failing to yield when entering the roadway.

MISDEMEANOR POSSESSION: At 10:14 p.m. Dec. 27, a 26-year-old Puyallup woman was stopped for a traffic violation on state Route 410 East at Park Avenue. During the stop, she was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia. A 25-year-old male passenger was found to be in possession of the same offending items. The woman was issued a notice of infraction for the traffic stop, and a criminal citation for the pot. The man was issued a criminal citation for the same. Both were released on location.

FOUND PROPERTY: At 3:45 p.m. Dec. 28, a Buckley woman turned in a bike to the police department. The bike was found abandoned on the trail near the intersection of state Route 165 and Ryan Road. It was entered into evidence as found property.

LICENSE SUSPENDED AND MORE: At 4:36 p.m. Dec. 29, an officer was dispatched to find a white truck deemed suspicious. Another officer on patrol spotted the vehicle driving on East Mason Avenue at South A Street. During a stop, the driver was found to be operating the vehicle on a suspended license. Once the original officer in pursuit arrived, he arrested the driver and passenger on marijuana possession. They were both cited before being released at the scene.

DUI: On Dec. 29, time unknown, an officer was dispatched to a collision on Spiketon Road at Mountain View Avenue. After contacting all involved persons, the officer arrested one male driver for driving under the influence.

MENTAL EVALUATION: On Dec. 31, time unknown, a man was contacted at his Park Avenue apartment as a result of a reckless driving incident and continuing calls about his behavior. The man was detained for a mental health consultation and transported to Western State Hospital.

TOO MUCH NEW YEAR CELEBRATION: Forty-five minutes after midnight Jan. 1, a driver was stopped on the 28400 block of SR 410 for improper lane travel. The driver was found to be driving drunk on a suspended license. He was booked into jail. A passenger was taken by medical aid due to unresponsiveness presumed to be from alcohol.

ABANDONED VEHICLE: At 10:20 p.m. Jan. 2, a camper was found sitting in the city right of way on the intersection of Davis Street and Rousher Street. The rolling domicile was tagged and the officer made a note to return in 24 hours to have the vehicle impounded if it was not removed by that time.
