Update: Enumclaw police make arrest for kidnapping, child molestation

Enumclaw Police arrested an adult male Wednesday for the crime of Kidnapping First Degree andChild Molestation First Degree.

The following is a press release issued by the Enumclaw Police Department.

Enumclaw Police today (Wednesday) arrested an adult male for the crime of Kidnapping First Degree andChild Molestation First Degree.

Police responded to the 1700 block of First Avenue for a report of an assault that had justoccurred. Based on the information provided by the reporting party, police were able to make thearrest of the suspect.

The suspect will be taken to the King County Regional Justice Center (RJC) where he will beformally charged.

The investigation is still ongoing.

The following is an update issued at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Enumclaw Police Department

The 25 year-old-male suspect was arrested at 1:38 pm January 30, 2013, for Kidnapping and Child Molestation after a report of an assault that had just occurred in the 1700 block of FirstStreet.

The suspect allegedly assaulted a juvenile female while in the vicinity of the Enumclaw Library then fled the area. No injuries were reported by the victim. No weapons were reported. The suspect was unknown to the victim.

The suspect was transported to the King County Jail (Seattle) where he will be formally charged.
