This week, the Bonney Lake Police Department let everyone know extra patrols will be out around Independence Day to enforce the city's new firework rules. Read up on them in your Weekend Briefing! Educating Bonney Lake about new firework rules

The Bonney Lake City Council changed the city’s firework rules last spring, which mean residents should get to know the new rules before Independence Day! The Bonney Lake Police Department says they’ll be out in force June 3 – 5 to enforce these new rules, which could mean a $550 ticket if you’re caught lighting illegal fireworks. Plenty of success for Rainier rugby players

Kids from Enumclaw, Buckley, Bonney Lake and Sumner in the Rainier Junior Rugby Club had a very successful season. The 7th and 8th grade boys grabbed a state title, as well as the JV and Varsity team while the high school girls team was the runner-up in state! Read more about the club’s achievements here.
