The Washington State Patrol is looking for persons who may have witnessed a collision on state Route 18 May 5.

According to WSP, the injury collision occurred after midnight May 5 in the eastbound lane of SR 18. Troopers responded to the crash about 12:34 a.m. and found a white 2007 Ford Mustang with two black racing stripes, blocking the right lane before the exit to SR 516.

They reported extreme damage to the driver side of the Mustang and the driver, a 21-year-old Maple Valley resident, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with life- threatening injuries.

Evidence at the scene indicated that the Mustang may have collided with the rear of a late 1990’s or early 2000 model landscaping-style flatbed truck before coming to a stop.

Anyone with information about the collision or know someone who may, should call Detective Ruth Medeiros at 425-401-7719.
