Al Thompson

Al Thompson, 89, died May 3, 2016, in Auburn.

He was born Nov. 29, 1926, in Escanaba, Mich. He was an inventor who loved fishing, hunting, camping and motorcycle races. Aside from tinkering with things, he enjoyed flying, golfing, bowling and football. Above all, he loved his family and barbecues.

He is survived by daughters Debbie Thompson of Orting and Tina Thompson Williamson (Doug) of Eatonville; sons Jeffrey Thompson and Bradley Thompson (Carrie) all of Buckley, Alan Thompson (Donna) of Michigan and Roger Thompson (Lissa) of Colorado Springs, Colo; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

An inurnment service with military honors is planned for 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 20, at Tahoma National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley.
