Albert Sill

Albert “Al” Sill, 83, died July 25, 2013, in Puyallup.

He was born Nov. 11, 1929, in Emporia, Kan., to Elmer and Mildred Sill. He graduated from Emporia State Teachers College and married Janet Tabor in Chanute, Kan., on March 21, 1952. He was a member of the Emporia Masonic Lodge for more than 60 years; belonged to the Model “A” Ford Club of America; was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association; and was a member of the Black Diamond Gun Club. He is remembered as a good dancer and story-teller who loved ice cream.

He is survived by son Gale Sill and wife Cindy of Auburn, Calif.; daughter Nanette Holman of Black Diamond; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Janet and brother Kenneth.

A graveside service is planned for 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at Tahoma National Cemetery.
