Alfred Belcourt

Enumclaw resident Alfred Joseph Belcourt died April 13, 2013, at the age of 80.

He was born July 16, 1932, in Westhope, N.D., to Eugene and Anna Belcourt. He grew up in North Dakota and married Betty Johnson of Dunseith, N.D., on July 31, 1953. They made their home in North Dakota until moving to Washington in 1960. He was employed for 30-plus years at Associated Grocers in Seattle as a warehouseman. He was an active bowler on several leagues for many years, enjoyed camping, fishing and taking care of his 20-acre farm where he raised cattle.

He is survived by his wife Betty Belcourt; children Rodney Belcourt, Michael Belcourt, Debra Belcourt-Iverson, Rosann Claridge, Lavonne Mathes and Cindy Cary and their spouses; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, at St. Barbara Catholic Church, 32416 Sixth Ave. in Black Diamond.
