Enumclaw resident Bernice E. Kruckenberg, 82, died Feb. 27, 2017.

She was born April 11, 1934, in Ellendale, N.D., to Edward and Emilia Kosel. She enjoyed gardening, cows and cooking, loved the Lord and, most of all, loved being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by sons Norman Jr. (Lois) Kruckenberg of Chillicothe, Ohio, Kurt (Debra) Kruckenberg of Buckley and Kim Kruckenberg of Enumclaw; daughter Kay (Terry) Sodders of Aberdeen, Wash.; two brothers; three sisters; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, son Kent and a baby boy.

Visitation took place Friday, March 3, and a funeral service was on Saturday, March 4, both at Weeks’ Funeral Home. She was buried at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park next to her husband.
