Bruce Beatty

Bruce Beatty was an avid fisherman who brought his family on many memorable trips to lakes around the state.

Bruce Beatty passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was raised by his mother, Carolyn and his stepfather Irvin, whom he now joins in heaven.

Bruce grew up in South Prairie, Washington. He attended White River High School, where he was very active in the baseball and basketball programs. He’s also had a love for fishing since early childhood, especially fishing and camping with his beloved grandfather.

Bruce married his first wife, Stephanie, and had two beautiful children, Glenn and Laura. They later divorced and he met the love of his life, Beth. Bruce and Beth married and together they had and buried a daughter, Lisa Nicole. Bruce and Beth would have celebrated 30 years of marriage this year. Trough sickness and health is a vow Beth has honored as she has selflessly provided loving care to Bruce for the last 2 years.

It would be hard to find a lake in Washington where Bruce hadn’t fished and usually knew the secret spot and which lure was hot. He took his family on many memorable trips to local lakes and rivers. Those lakes are where they will visit to feel close to him again. Bruce is survived by his wife Beth, his son Glenn (Stacy), his daughter Laura (Nick), grandchildren Gage and Clara, his siblings Glenda (Jim), Sharon (Al), Ruth (Scott), Mary (JD), Jim (Cindy), and Bill, special cousins, nephews, nieces, and so many wonderful friends in the fishing community.

He was loved by many and is already greatly missed.
