Carl David Tieken was born Oct. 28, 1976 in Seattle and passed away Aug. 9, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma following a serious illness.

He graduated from White River High School in Buckley and attended college at Green River College in Auburn.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps reserves and worked as a machinist and later became a master journey machinist.

Carl is survived by his son Colin David Tieken, 5, his mom and dad, Tim and Marti Meiken in Buckley, five sisters Shelly Edwards, Lynwood, Jenny Schwarzkopf, Sacramento, California, Amy Egen, Lake Steven, Kate Deppa, Las Vegas, Nevada and Heather Tieken, Redmond, as well as seven nephews, six nieces, and many cousins and aunts.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Aug. 31, at the Mount Rainier Christian Center, 43801 244th Ave. SE in Enumclaw.
