Carbonado resident Darrell Mills, 74, died June 19, 2016.

He was born Oct. 16, 1941, to Finley and Willa Mills in Silva, N.C. He worked hard to provide for his family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time in the woods with his sons and grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing and playing golf. He was a member of Carbonado Community Church for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Marion H. Mills of Carbonado; daughters Helen (Lonny) Horton of Carbonado and Janet (Gary) McGillivray of Federal Way; sons Joseph Mills of South Prairie and Matthew (Beth) Mills, Daniel (Jennifer) Mills and Andrew (Tanya) Mills, all of Carbonado; sisters Dorolyne Webber of Everett, Emma (Doug) Fuller of Sumner and Lynne Couch of Arlington, Wash.; brother Gordon (Angie) Mills of Mt. Vernon, Wash.; and 20 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lane.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Carbonado Community Church.
