Longtime Buckley resident Ellen Pauline Thebert, 88, died July 10, 2011, in Tacoma. She was born May 7, 1923, in Hoyt, Wis.

She lived in the area for more than 60 years. She enjoyed being a homemaker, especially raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed ice skating, dancing, gardening and horseback riding. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred P. Thebert; brother Clement Maxin; daughter, Carol Agar and son Ralph Thebert.

She is survived by sons, Fred J. Thebert and wife Jan of Buckley and Phillip Thebert and wife Karen of Bothell, Wash.; daughters Patricia Milton and husband Darryl of Poulsbo, Wash., and Elizabeth Bowman and husband Ken of Graham, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
