Auburn resident Ivy Marie Yanish, 63, died Dec. 14, 2017, in Tacoma.

She was born May 22, 1954, in Shelton, Washington, to the late Percey and Shirley James. She loved sewing, gardening, crafts and shopping at garage sales. She also loved children, baking and cooking. She is remembered as a wonderful listener who had a good sense of humor.

She is survived by husband Richard Yanish, sons Anthony and Steven Yanish; brothers Lloyd Smith and Wayne James; sisters Shirley Goodwin, Fay Allan, Bonnie Benson and Connie Green; and brothers Eddie Green and Joseph James.

She was preceded in death by son Richard Yanish Jr. in 1992.

A visitation took place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 19, 2017, at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley.
