Jack Henry Desser died Aug. 19, 2013, shortly before his second birthday.

He was born Aug. 24, 2011, to Jim and Kari Desser in Jackson, Wyo., and lived in Teton Valley, Idaho, before moving with his family to Enumclaw. He enjoyed the outdoors, Irish folk music, eating wild berries and spending time with his family. He especially loved the sound of his sister’s voice.

He is survived by parents Jim and Kari Desser and sister Ella, all of Enumclaw; grandparents Dick and Barbara Belton of Enumclaw and Tom and Jane Desser of Edmond, Okla.; and great-grandmother Yvonne Reed of Enumclaw.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Providence Hospice of Seattle Foundation or Seattle Children’s Hospital.
