James Robinson

Former area resident James Robinson died May 17, 2016, in Elma, Wash.

He was born Jan. 3, 1959, in Davenport, Iowa, to the late Dorothy and John Simington. He worked for several years as a cook at the Rainier in downtown Enumclaw before moving to Elma, where he worked seven years as a cook at the Rusty Tractor. He loved hunting, fishing, dancing, watching sports – especially the Seahawks – making everyone laugh and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by daughters Destiny Robinson (husband Sio) and Dana Robinson, all of Enumclaw; son Dustin Robinson of Elma; brothers Robby Robinson (wife Shammie) and Mark Robinson (wife TJ), all of Elma; and two grandchildren.
